A 2-year-old girl died after falling off a utility vehicle on Saturday, Dec. 28, in the Loris area, said Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The incident happened around 5:18 p.m. on Bay View Drive, about 12 miles north of Loris.

A Can-Am utility vehicle, which was carrying two adults and two 2-year-olds, was traveling north on Bay View Road when one of the passengers fell onto the road and was run over by the utility vehicle, Bolt said.

The Horry County Coroner's Office said 2-year-old Ellieana Mishoe died after she fell from the utility vehicle. She lived in Aiken, South Carolina.
