In the Book of Nehemiah, Nehemiah and a company of believers set about to rebuild a temple and the walls surrounding it but they had many adversaries who did not want the wall built.
So Nehemiah set guards around the workers, and under much duress and threats, finished the project.
When God ordains something to be done, it will happen despite the opposition. That鈥檚 because God wants His glory.
The Bible suggests that no man can resist God鈥檚 will (Romans 9).
It is not always a pleasant thing to follow God鈥檚 will for life, because there are always adversaries, but the alternative is to live a life that is selfish and unfulfilling spiritually. Worse, judgment may come from God that may cause suffering, which is supposed to correct us and bring us into a right relationship with God.
Consider the vision and work of Nehemiah. There was great joy after the temple was built; I would suspect a clear conscience and satisfaction of pleasing God.
If you don鈥檛 know God, consider the path to find God through His Son Jesus who has died for you sins.
Jesus is a Savior who takes our punishment away and allows us to begin working for God with protection.
