A 62-year-old died in a two-vehicle collision on Sea Mountain Highway in the North Myrtle Beach area Friday afternoon, April 4, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Steven Marshall was struck while operating a motorcycle and later died at the hospital, the Horry County Coroner's Office said.
The crash happened at 1:32 p.m. at Sea Mountain Highway and Morgan Avenue, said Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with SCHP.
A 2003 Honda motorcycle was traveling west on Sea Mountain Highway when a Cadillac SUV turned right onto Sea Mountain from Morgan Avenue, authorities said.
The motorcycle driver was transported to the hospital and died, authorities said. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The crash is under investigation by SCHP.
