Horry County Police Department is investigating an incident of "murder and nonnegligent manslaughter" after a shooting on Wright Road in the Loris area on Sunday, Aug. 18.
The shooting happened between 6 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., according to a heavily redacted police report. Six Horry County Police Department officers responded.
The report noted two victims, and said they were transported from the scene in personal vehicles.
In a Facebook post, HCPD stated at least three people were injured, including one with critical injuries.
The police report also lists one suspect, but all identifying information for all three persons has been redacted.
The Horry County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Anari "Nari" As-Sabur, who died at a local hospital from injuries in the shooting. As-Sabur was 20 and from Loris.
Police said there is no threat to the community and anyone with information should call the non-emergency dispatch at 843-248-1520.
No additional information was available as of noon on Aug. 19.
